July 2008 Summer Programme/ Summer Event The Courtyard Youth Arts Centre will be running a summer programme from 28th July to the 15th August for all young people between the ages of 11-19. We have places left on the following courses DJ workshops Learn DJ’ing skills and mix vinyl. Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th July: 3pm-6pm. Breakdance classes Come to one or come to all: experienced or beginners, all are welcome. Spaces are limited so book early! Mon 28th, Wed 29th July, Friday 1st, Mon 4th, Wed 6th, Fri 8th, Mon 11th, Tues 13th, and Friday 15th August. 11am - 1pm (£2.50 per session) Mini Movies Go mad with film! Over 3 days plan, shoot and edit a BBC mini movie with the support of professional film makers. Then see your masterpiece up on the cinema screen and on the BBC website. 3 DAY COURSE Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th, Thursday 31st July. 3 day’s from 10am – 4pm. (£10.00) SNAC Workshops /Serial Network Application and Creation (SNAC) Safe use of Bibo, Face book and My Space Tuesday’s from 11am -1pm 6 per session. Photography/ 3day course Using both film and digital cameras, have your say about Bicester and what you would like for its future. Print your own black and white photos or manipulate images on Photoshop! Suitable for both experienced and first time photographers. Bring your own camera but some will be provided. (Age group 11-16.) 3 DAY COURSE Tuesday 5th//Wednesday 6th/ Thursday 7th August. 10am-4pm (Packed lunches required) The workshops are just £2.50 per session. If it’s a three day course that’s still only £7.50 for three days of fun supervised by quality professionals. Mini movies is hosted by the BBC could we get better?
